Timeline on the side bar

I have posted our adoption Timeline on the side bar of my blog. The timeline was hiding under blog entries, back when I was figuring all this out. I think it will help people to see how long this really can take and where we are.

    We feel your pain. We just returned from China with our daughter, Sarah. We just made it in before the swine flu shut things down. We also had to wait a very long time. We were initially told that it would take less than a year when we started. Four years later we finally got to go and get Sarah. Last May we became so frustrated with the process that we walked away from the whole thing and told our agency we were done until we saw a picture. Well, on December 31st we received the picture. We thought we were going to get her the beginning of February, but the invitation to travel came in another family's name! We had to send everything back and were told we may not get the same child - ugh! But through all of this God was faithful -- even if we were not. We now have Sarah and the only advice I can think to give you is look for the lessons God is trying to teach you through this agonizing process. It has changed us for the better, even if we didn't enjoy it. In the end, it is worth all the hassles, disappointment, and frustrations. You are in our prayers.

    Yes, please feel free to follow our blog as I will be following yorus-it looks like we have a similar timeline for waiting for our LOA/LOC. We were LID before our LOI though. Lets hope this week we see some movement! Our boys are waiting!!

    Jolene,

    Please let Kacie know she will get her little brother. We, too, had our doubts during our wait, but it all worked out and Jake is a happy boy and we are all a happy family. We were frustrated with the wait, and it was just so hard knowing he was in China waiting for us and we couldn't go to him. We can only imagine how hard it is for her.

    You are all in our thoughts.
